From St. Louis
- Take I-64/US-40 eastbound through downtown St. Louis.
- Be in the right lane when crossing the Poplar Street Bridge (Congressman William L. Clay, Sr. Bridge) to Illinois. Keep merging to the right.
- Immediately after crossing into Illinois, take the right exit for Illinois Route 3 southbound toward Cahokia Heights.
- Travel 1.1 miles, then turn left onto Monsanto Avenue (the Sauget Diner is at this intersection).
- Travel 0.8 miles past industrial sites until the road ends, and then turn right onto Falling Springs Road.
- Travel 0.5 miles, and then arrive at 2300 Falling Springs Road on the left. You’ll see our gravel parking lot and a recumbent 30′ Statue of Liberty, along with some “National Building Arts Center” signage.
From St. Louis (alternate route avoiding Poplar Street Bridge)
- Take the Eads Bridge from the Lumiere Place exit of I-44 eastbound, or from Washington Avenue eastbound.
- Turn right on Main Street in East St. Louis.
- Cross the train tracks and bear left onto the ramp for I-55.
- After 0.4 miles, take Exit 1 for Illinois Route 3 southbound.
- Turn left onto Monsanto Avenue (the Sauget Diner is at this intersection).
- Travel 0.8 miles past industrial sites until the road ends, and then turn right onto Falling Springs Road.
- Travel 0.5 miles, and then arrive at 2300 Falling Springs Road on the left. You’ll see our gravel parking lot and a recumbent 30′ Statue of Liberty, along with some “National Building Arts Center” signage.
Returning to St. Louis
- Turn right onto Falling Springs Road from the parking lot.
- Travel 0.5 miles, then turn left onto Monsanto Avenue.
- Travel 0.8 miles, and then turn right onto Illinois Route 3 northbound.
- Travel approximately 1 mile, getting into the left lane. Then follow signs for Saint Louis (westbound I-64/I-70/southbound I-55), entering the left exit ramp to the Poplar Street Bridge.
- If traveling west on I-64/US-40, quickly merge to the left lanes.
