Part tour, part creative adventure, NBAC’s photowalk will be a morning golden (hour) opportunity for amateur and professional photographers to explore our collections, discover hidden details, and capture the beauty of architecture from new perspectives.

Participants will gain exclusive access to areas of the campus never before open to the public, including intriguing storage spaces and rarely seen artifacts (yes, there’s a race car!)

Come see history from a new perspective—and leave with unforgettable images you won’t find anywhere else.

National Building Arts Center (NBAC) Photowalk FAQ

• How do I apply?
  Complete the online application form here and submit by March 29 at 7:00 PM CT. NBAC will select participants from those who have completed the application form. Applicants will be informed by email if they are accepted or not by April 11, 2026.
• Why is this happening so early?
  On April 25, sunrise is at 6:11 AM. Starting earlier than that will give photographers first light and an opportunity to capture sunrise across our unique landscape.
• Who can participate?
  Participants must be 18 years or older, or accompanied by a parent/guardian. Anyone with an interest in photography may register. You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate.
• Is there a cost to participate?
  No. There is no fee to register. However, participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and related expenses.
• Can I bring a guest?
  No, each place is for one named person only (you), unless you are under the age of 18, in which case you must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Each individual wishing to attend must apply separately. Participation is non-transferable.
• Do I need to have a social media account to apply?
  Yes, we want you to have a great NBAC Photowalk and to share your experience with a wider audience via social media. Please list your main social media accounts in the application form.
• What if I cannot come to the event?
  If you are not available on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 5:30 AM to participate in the NBAC Photowalk, you should not apply for this event. If, believing you are free on Saturday, April 25, 2026, having applied, and having subsequently been selected, you then are unable to attend, please let us know so that your place can be reallocated to another photographer.
• What if it rains?
  The NBAC Photowalk will proceed rain or shine unless unsafe weather conditions occur.
